    This darling
    , 23" tall, antique cloth,
    (circa 1860s)
    primitive homemade doll with beautiful oil painted features
    was lovingly homemade and includes beautiful painted and shaded blue eyes, eyebrows, nose and mouth details as well as lovely painted, brown hair including brush strokes across her forehead and pretty cheek blush. She is made entirely of old cotton stuffed cloth with individually stitched fingers and very well shaped feet. Her head and neck areas have lots of old stitching repairs and could use some additional cotton stuffing to fill in around her neck area as shown. She wears
    her original homemade, long, dark blue striped, challis wool, antique dress with
    lining, antique lace trimmed petticoat and later made pantaloons. (An antique bonnet would really frame her face beautifully.) She has survived many generations with very old stitched repairs and gathered area around her neck, but no touch-ups or repaint. Other antique dolls of the period (pictured with her for comparison, only) are not included. (loc.k ) She has no odors and is from a smoke free home.
