TWO early labeled Norah Wellings "Old English", 8" cloth girl dolls #1110

Here are
two
very pretty, early circa 1938-41, examples of
Norah Wellings
, very popular, "Old English",
model #1110
, female cloth doll and Norwegian Girl model K 32,
both measuring 8" long. They are the more detailed versions with
swivel necks, deep dimples and long thick, golden mohair braids.
They have a soft finish (treated stockinette) face with big blue, side-glancing eyes, (one doll has missing paint to eyes and mouth) very well modeled features including a
smiling mouth.
One wears a blue velveteen, long dress with puff sleeves, applied yellow felt flowers & trim, yellow felt vest tied at the front, large yellow felt, brimmed bonnet with deep blue felt ties as well as a black velveteen shoes. She has individually stitched fingers and is
fully labeled on one of her shoes: Made in England/by Norah Wellings
. She is in extremely good condition, very clean with no stains, no holes and no odors as she is from a smoke free home. Other Norah Wellings doll shown with her is also labeled on one foot:

and also has long gold braids beneath her blue felt bonnet decorated with red appliques, red velveteen vest, light blue velveteen skirt and sleeves with red trim, organdy apron with green appliques to match her large green felt scarf around her neck. (see them on pages 71 & 76, "Norah Wellings"-Trotter) Other dolls shown from this collection are
