RARE PA ANTIQUE OIL PAINTED 26 INCH CLOTH DOLL

Description

Up for auction is a rare Pennsylvania antique oil painted 26 inch tall cloth doll. She has an oil painted head, front and back. Her hands are closed and also painted. Her hands are very unusual. Her body is straight and she doesn’t sit. She is not signed. She is hand stitched as well as treadle machine sewn. She is stuffed with some kind of cotton. There is wear to the paint and her body with hand repairs as well as a hole under one arm and a small spot on one foot. Has age related staining. This wear is to be expected due to the age of the doll. The doll is either made from cotton or linen. She is 26 inches tall and 12 inches wide arm to arm. These dolls are getting so hard to find, and would make a wonderful addition to any doll collection. Being sold as shown and found.
