Wonderful museum dolly Treasure, c1900

rare and very hard to find

JB Sheppard & Co.
Philadelphia Baby
dolls comes this adorable,
22 inch tall,
boy child doll,
completely original from head to toes
. He has those wonderful
applied ears
and very
deeply molded and painted, gorgeous, big brown eyes
with great details including high lights and very well
molded eyelids
, lovely mouth with full lips, nice nose details and pink cheek blush as well as finely molded fingers and toes with pink nails. Constructed of sturdy-stuffed, stockinette cloth he has an
oil painted
head, shoulders, lower arms and lower legs with joints at shoulders, hips and knees and a life-like, sturdy shaped, stocking body. This sweet child is over one hundred and fifteen years old and still retains all his
original clothing:
an
adorable, two-piece, fully lined, blue pleated cotton dress suit with large buttons and white collar, replaced antique shoes and socks. He is
fully stamped on the back of his torso
and is in excellent condition with no repainting or repairs. He has no tears or breaks, no holes or odors and he is from a smoke free home.  See the replica version seated with him in photo #8 for comparison only.
