From our little family of
rare and very hard to find
,
Philadelphia Baby
dolls comes this adorable,
18 inch tall,
child doll,
completely original from head to toes
. We are calling him a boy since he has the shorter hair style of that era and a more simply designed dress (young girls and boys both wore dresses during this time). He has wonderful
applied ears
and very
deeply molded and painted, big brown eyes
with great details including high lights and very well
molded eyelids
, lovely mouth and nose details and pink cheek blush as well as finely molded fingers and toes with pink nails. Constructed of sturdy-stuffed, stockinette cloth he has an oil painted head, shoulders, lower arms and lower legs with joints at shoulders, hips and knees and a life-like, shaped stocking body. This sweet child is nearly one hundred and fifteen years old and still retains all his
original clothing:
adorable, one-piece onesie type shirt with attached panties with buttons for drop down seat, beneath matching full slip (both trimmed with matching antique lace and fine pleats) and covered by a fine, sheer cotton gown with windowpane pattern and hand embroidered trim. He is in very good overall condition with no repainting or repairs although his chin and nose show wear (as shown) and his gown is very frail and worn through in a few areas. He has no stains or breaks, no holes or odors and he is from a smoke free home. We are

. Any white areas are camera flash and not on the doll. Other "family member" dolls are
not included
and each listed separately.
