PAIR antique German, straw stuffed jtd.felt dolls, glass eyes, center face seam

Here is a wonderful and very
rare,
pair o
f early, circa 1920, German (Steiff-like)
jointed caricature, male and female dolls with exaggerated features.
He measures,
15" tall, and she measures 14" inches tall, both with swivel joints at their shoulders and hips with long slender legs and large, flat pointed feet. They have large felt hands with individually stitched fingers,
swivel necks,
blue glass
beady eyes
and the
early stitched, center face seams and applied, double stitched, felt ears.
They wear all their original German ethnic, black and red wool felt outfits including vests with brass buttons and lacing, original shirts, undies, knit stockings and felt shoes. Both have
original attached, factory labels: Empire Patent, Germania and Bauer Nr. 40, Ref. 1920
and have
excellent color
with no stains or fading, no holes or tears, no repairs or touch up (slight wear spot on side of girl's chin & 2 small holes in the neck socket) and are in excellent condition These very early Steiff dolls are getting extremely hard to find.
