OLD LETTER DATED: MAR. 1854 FROM FORMER POSTMASTER OF LAGRANGE, WALWORTH COUNTY, WISCONSIN THOMAS WATERMAN TO BROTHER ELIJAH LIVING IN NORTHERN INDIANA. LETTER ON BLUE PAPER AND HAS FRONT AND BACK PAGES OF WRITING. LETTER MENTIONS: AMELIA CLEVELAND WHO'S BROTHER WAS SILAS CLEVELAND OWNER OF S.E. CLEVELAND & SONS LIVERY WHICH HAD THE BEST STOCK HORSES IN THE CITY OF CHICAGO AT THAT TIME. AMELIA IS THE DAUGHTER IN LAW TO THOMAS WATERMAN. AMELIA CLEVELAND'S FATHER WAS REUBEN CLEVELAND A PROMINENT FIGURE IN THE HISTORY OF CHICAGO.
