Charming and RARE antique, c1890s, labeled Art Fabric Mills, printed cloth doll

Absolutely wonderful,
early,
commercially lithograph printed, hard stuffed, heavy muslin, cloth doll, with wonderful
sensitive features
, circa 1899-1900
. Measuring, 17 1/2" tall, he was manufactured by
Art Fabric Mills
as the
printed label on his feet
shows. This charming character doll wears light blue, printed on undies with printed button and lace trim and is barefoot. He has lovely printed hands in fists with pink finger and toenails and beautifully printed, (photographic like) clear features with large pink lips, broad nose, curly black hair and sweet expressive dark brown eyes. He is in remarkably good condition for her
age of over one-hundred years
with no damages, no stains or fading and no odors as he is from a smoke free home. Some stitching at one shoulder looks to have been done very long ago. This is one of a line of
"cut & sew" cloth dolls
sold in general stores at the turn of the century for the homemaker to stitch together and stuff at home. His labeled
sister is not included
and will be listed separately. See last photo for more of these antique dolls all listed separately and

with this item.
He will make an excellent companion for some of your other vintage dolls.  (loc 8 & 86)
