    14 12" tall
    , (large)* all cloth, near mint condition, early
    circa 1917-22,
    labeled: Made in Russia/Ryasan district Woman,
    young adult woman doll with stockinette head and wonderfully detailed hands with finely stitched fingers as described on page 76, "15th Blue Book"-Foulke. She has padded breasts and expertly molded and painted facial features with very sensitive and attractive, painted dark eyes with high lights, brows, pronounced cheek bones,
    smiling mouth with painted teeth
    , reddish blond,
    flax hair
    peaking out of her beautifully printed, babushka head covering scarf and very detailed linen shirt ("
    sarafan"
    ) with lovely, ethnic decorated sleeves, finished edges and colorful hemline. She wears a wonderfully printed, long full apron tied at the back over a navy blue plaid skirt with wide red hemline trim and striped petticoat beneath as well as linen panties and tightly wrapped muslin leg wraps tied with cord and wonderful
    woven wicker, straw-type shoes
    (lapti).
