Description
This doll comes from the Rachel Metcalfe Industrial Home for Girls. The school was established by Metcalfe who was a Quaker missionary in the 19th century. I'm not sure how old this doll is though I would guess around the 1930s.The doll is a solidly stuffed cloth in traditional Hindu dress including beaded jewelry and edgings. She also has her original price tag and label attached to her sari.
It measures 10 inches tall.
The doll is in very good condition for its age. The only damage I see are some holes in the fabric of the sleeves.
