An EXCEPTIONAL DOLL, this Lady is! Strikingly executed, with much Detail. A "LITTLE WORK OF ART". I am offering for sale, an All Original, Antique, early 1900s, ALL HANDMADE, Sculpted Face and Ears, Cloth Beloved Belindy Doll. Her Dress, Pantaloons and Underskirt are all Handmade. As well as her Striped Stockings and Leather Shoes. Sadly, one Shoe was lost, long ago. Wearing a Kerchief Cap, tied in the back. White Lace Cuffs and Collar. Faded Green Satin Ribbon around her neck. She has Black Braided and Tied Yarn Hair Tufts, and Yarn Eyelashes. Her Smiling Mouth, Nose and Ears are sewn on seperately, and Sculpted and Stuffed. Black Buttons for Eyes. Has sewn on Gold Metal Ball Earrings. Wearing a White Crinoline Apron, with white Lace Trim. Her Clothes are sewn on. Mitten style Hands. She feels to be Stuffed with that old heavy cotton. Belindy measures a large 24" long. The Doll was stitched at the knees, as well as hips, so that her Legs bend, and she sits nicely. Good Antique Condition. Some Expected and Wanted, age fading and wear. Clean, no oders. No holes, stains or tears. The front of her Dress is more age faded, because of her sitting, facing forward, for a long time. When I purchased her 20 somewhat years ago, She had 2 Plastic Black Cats tied to one wrist. Do not know their purpose, but they will stay with her. She has everything-grace, style and character. Belindy would be an outstanding, ONE OF A KIND, addition to someones Antique Cloth Doll collection.
