Description
I can't say enough about this great, one-of-a-kind, home made boy doll!He is rare because he's a large, cloth, boy doll.
His face and hair have been drawn on with a lead pencil. He is stuffed with straw. He was made in the 1800's and is still wearing his original clothes.
His pants and shirt have been sewn onto the doll. His antique ankle boots still have all of their buttons. The buttons on the sides of his pants match the buttons on his shirt. He has a ring on one finger. His blue and white striped shirt has a large ruffled collar.
His antique straw hat has a velvet, grey band with a buckle. It's a little smaller than his head.
He is a wonderful doll with a great presence. His face has a folk art look to it. He is a special doll and would make a great addition to your collection!
Size: 21"
Condition: This boy doll and his clothing have discolored over the years. There are a few dark brown spots on his face and one of them has a tiny hole. There are other stains on his face and the back of his head. His black pants have some wear, especially on the back where you can see through them in spots. His shirt has some stains and tears and has yellowed. His antique shoes are in pretty good antique condition - all the buttons are present - but there are a few chips out of the soles. His purple tie has deteriorated and is just a nub now. His legs are a little wobbly. There are no tears or holes (except for the one in face I already mentioned) and is in good condition for its age.
